Shamblin works with state chapter and local affiliate

Patti Shamblin, the Director of Loan Origination for the West Virginia Housing Development Fund, was recently honored by the state’s homebuilding community. Shamblin was named Associate of The Year for 2015 by both The Homebuilders Association of West Virginia and the Homebuilders Association of Greater Charleston.

Shamblin’s role with both organizations consists of volunteering, organization events, community outreach, government affairs, training and education.

Erica Boggess, the Fund’s Acting Executive Director, congratulated Shamblin on her awards.

“Our partners in the homebuilding community do a wonderful job building safe, affordable homes,” Boggess said. “It’s great to see that Patti has been commended for her work to help these organization fulfill their missions.”

Shamblin was honored by the Kanawha Valley affiliate earlier this summer. She was honored by the state-wide association during their state conference earlier this month at Pipestem Resort State Park. She will also represent West Virginia at the 2016 NAHB International Builders’ Show.

“This was so thoughtful on the part of both organizations,” Shamblin said. “Without a doubt, all the homebuilders I work with, either as a member or as a representative of the Fund, are great folks who are driven to build good homes for good people.”

Peggy Sampson, director The Homebuilders Association of Greater Charleston, noted Shamblin’s dedication.

“If we could clone Patti, we would. She is loyal, dedicated and hard working. She gives us 100 percent,” Sampson said.

Regina Skeens, the executive director for the Homebuilders Association of West Virginia, echoed Sampson’s comments.

“I just can’t say enough good things about Patti,” she said. “She is there when we need her and gives us all she’s got.

Shamblin joined the Fund in 2001. Shamblin (NMLS 199704) is a National & State Licensed Loan Originator and the Director of Loan Origination and Correspondent Lender Programs for the Fund.
