Fund Sponsors Fair-Housing Themed Poster Contest

How do young people view equality and fair housing? The West Virginia Housing Development Fund hoped to answer some of these questions by sponsoring a poster contest for middle and high school students.

The first place winners were Elizabeth Knox, a senior at Ripley High School, and Makayla McMillion, a sixth grader at Lenore K-8 School in Williamson.

Fund Recognized for Clean Water Program

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund has been recognized for assisting homeowners and helping to create a cleaner environment.

In partnership with the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, the Fund has developed the On-Site Systems Loan Program. This program is designed to help eligible households repair or replace on-site septic systems or connect to a public treatment system. The On-Site Systems Program was recently recognized by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Office of Water.

A Message for Current Customers:

The West Virginia Housing Development Fund is excited to announce a new line up of interactive tools for our current customers. After logging in, customers can make a payment and access new features. They can now:

  • Lookup loan history
  • View previous payments
  • Retrieve year-end tax information
  • View a personalized loan amortization
  • Update contact information
  • Review Monthly Billing statements
  • Check Account balance and due dates

Fund Helps Developers Transform Old School into Gleaming Apartments

Building full of charm and character

After fire destroyed their home, Albert Priddy and his sister Charlotte Thomas were in the unenviable spot of having to find a new place to live. They wanted to stay on Charleston’s West Side, but their options were limited.
